- Blot liquids with a dry, white absorbent cloth or plain white paper towels (no prints or colors). Continue until the area is barely damp. Do not scrub or use a brush because this can damage the fibers and cause fraying and texture change.
- Rinse the spot quickly with cool water. Then follow with a mix of 1/4 teaspoon clear (nonbleach, nonlanolin) dishwashing liquid with one cup of cool water. Blot and dry quickly.
